I looked at his website. His work is certainly creative, however it seems more like installation art or a sculpture rather than a design related project (like the shadow typography).

The way his art casts shadows is very neat, but not as interactive as your other idea could be. I like the idea of your other post using light sensitive or heat sensitive material to reveal a hidden message. This could promote user/viewer interactivity, which also allows people to interpret your design in their own way. Using heat sensitive material would allow people to interact with objects, perhaps using their body heat or hair dryers to reveal the hidden message in your design. Or maybe a handheld black light they could run along the design and the UV sensitive ink could fill in the spaces to your real message.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

Well, upon a search, I found this site http://alsacorp.com/products/eclipse/eclipse_prodinfo.htm that sells heat sensitive ink.

It is quite expensive though. http://alsacorp.com/products/eclipse/eclipse_price.htm

While thinking about this idea, something came to mind. While in Disney World, we went through the Haunted Mansion (which I'm sure you've been on) and they had paintings in there that would change as lightening flashed. This seems like an idea that is along the lines of what you are trying to do.

After another search, I found this blacklight sensitive paint http://www.starmgc.com/blkpaint.html (have to scroll down a bit) that goes on invisible, but shows up in colors under a black light. Since it is invisible, I could see this having great potential to be used in a wide variety of applications, design related or otherwise.

you can activate spam protection in your blog settings. either you can moderate the comments or you can setup a captcha (which are those funny looking images with random letters and numbers in them that accompany some web forms).

kat brings up a good idea there. children's nightmares and how they mistake shadows for monsters. that could be used in a lot of different ways.

I really like the idea of light and its ability to change our perception of things. Light plays a huge part in mythology and storytelling...and definitely in childhood (I'm thinking bedtime...and sleeping with the lights on as a child).

Good luck!
