Filing a FAFSA is the single most important thing students can do to get free money for college.
For the 2017 FAFSA campaign I worked with a copywriter to develop an integrated campaign to remind families of the kickoff of FAFSA season and provide information to help them have a winning experience filing out the application. Since 2017 was the second year with the earlier October 1st start date we were able to reinforce the idea that federal financial aid is a “win” for families paying for college by comparing the FAFSA to the ultimate fall classic: football.
My copywriting cohort and I had too much fun creating a PR visual, static and animated social media posts, web content, and sales articles around a buzz-worthy campaign that provided a more creative approach than competitors and stood out to families, schools, and the media. Touchdown!
